What is dog massage?

A dog massage therapy session is an hour of one-on-one bodywork for your very important pooch.

The massage takes place in the comfort of your own home, for maximum relaxation. The goal of a massage can be many things including:

  • relieving muscle tension and muscular adhesions (or “knots”),

  • loosening joint stiffness and pain,

  • stretching for improved range of motion and stability,

  • calming the mind and nervous system,

  • promoting a sense of well-being and refreshment.

Each massage session is special and unique to the present needs of your dog. Because of this, no two massages will look the same.

What dog owners think

[Lela] formed an easy bond with Pablo, calmed him by creating a relaxing spa atmosphere in my spare room, and found Pablo’s little tight spots. I’ve never seen Pablo so blissed out.

Lela is amazing! Within minutes, my dog was super relaxed and greatly enjoyed the massage. Lela took such great care of him and was very observant of any problem areas she found.
— Lindsey
Lela is a caring, intuitive dog person. My dog is anxious and fearful, but Lela made sure to take time to earn trust.

What Scout thinks

Scout is a 10-month old Karelian Bear Dog. He is friendly, but wasn’t sure about being touched so much. However, after having some tension in his shoulder and neck released by massage therapy, he softened right up and by the end of his appointment was relaxed and softly snoring in contentment.

Lela massaging a dog's left shoulder and forearm while he sits on a couch. The dog looks unsure about it.
Lela writes down notes in her lap, while the dog is completely relaxed into the couch with eyes closed.
