Introduction to Dog Massage Workshop

Join me for an hour-long workshop focused on the basics of dog massage. There are currently no open spots available.

This workshop is full. But sign-up below to be put on the waiting list.

Being on the waitlist means you’ll get a chance to sign-up for the next workshop before the public!

What’s going on?
VIP’s owner, Lela, is hosting a hands-on Introduction to Dog Massage workshop at Canine PT and Me (728 SE 20th Ave, Portland, OR 97214) on Sunday October 6th at 3:30pm.

What will the workshop cover?
We will be going over several topics including:

  • How massage can benefit your dog,

  • Basic Swedish massage strokes,

  • Signs your dog is/isn’t enjoying massage,

  • Hands-on practice with your dog

Are there pre-reqs?
You do not need to have any prior knowledge of massage. But you and your dog must be comfortable sitting on the floor within reasonable proximity to others in the room.

We will be spacing people out as much as possible. Some blankets and/or cushions will be available to help support floor-sitting, but feel free to bring whatever you need to be comfortable on the floor for an hour.

How big will the workshop be?
To allow for adequate time with the instructor and plenty of space for everyone, there are only FIVE seats available. So don’t delay in saving your spot!

Is there a fee?
There is a $50/per person fee to help cover the cost of the space and to pay the instructor for her time and preparation.

Do I need a vet referral?
Not for this. While you do need a referral for physical therapy or a professional massage, you do not need one to massage your own dog.

If you have any concerns regarding your dog’s medical condition and this workshop, we highly recommend you discuss this with your vet before signing up.
